INTRODUCING CANHEAL BALM

Canheal Balm is a unique blend of organic cannabis oil, hemp oil, shea butter and coconut oil. Added essential oils like peppermint, lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary enhance the healing effect and give a pleasant aroma to this refreshing and creamy balm. With positive feedback from clients; it has proven to be an effective alternative therapy for pain, inflammation and acne.

How Do Topical Balms Work?

Lotions, oils, salves and balms that are infused with cannabis work by binding with the CB2 receptors in the human body. These receptors are activated by the naturally-occurring endocannabinoids in the body, or alternatively by phytocannabinoids found in cannabis, such as CBD and THC. When using topical balms, the cannabinoids are unable to get into the bloodstream, and can only penetrate into the CB2 receptors, therefore there is no psychoactive effect.

Canheal Balm has been tested and approved by the Arthritis Foundation of South Africa, it is natural, vegan and a safe analgesic with proven results. Any topical balm, lotion or cream which contains cannabis together with natural ingredients is safe to use and will produce no known side effects. Applying this balm is one way of enjoying the many pain-relieving benefits of cannabis without any psychoactive effects. Safe, accessible and effective, it is an excellent way of reducing inflammation and managing pain.

To apply; simply rub this balm into your joints, muscles, skin irritations or spots until the balm has melted into a shiny film and absorbed into the skin. There are no side effects when applying this balm on your skin and is for external use only. We suggest not using it on open wounds or damaged skin.

CANNABIS AND ACNE

It has been proven that the endocannabinoid (responsible for controlling the balance and general well-being of skin cells) system has receptors all throughout the skin, body, brain and central nervous system which influences various physiological processes.

Research shows that the sebaceous glands (responsible for secreting oils into hair follicles) have been found to contain cannabinoid receptors. This consequently means that cannabinoids will interact and affect their normal functioning. Being that the endocannabinoid system’s function is to keep everything in balance, it will help normalise the levels of oil within our sebaceous glands.

Researchers found that CBD containing properties can regulate the oil production by your sebaceous glands, and effectively control potential breakouts. This is largely due to its anti-inflammatory and anxiolytic actions. In 2014, the JCI observed that CBD regulates the output of oil in the skin. It inhibits the lipid production in your skin cells and normalises your skin’s oil production.

Canheal balm contains Cannabis Oil of a 1:1 CBD/THC ratio and therefore helps with treatment of acne. Clients have returned to inform us that it works wonders on acne and breakouts. In addition to acne relief, we have also had reliable feedback regarding arthritis, as well as the healing of post-op inflammation around scarring.
